Ariana Grande revealed sheโs been feeling under the weather on her โSweetener World Tour.โ
The pop star took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday night (November 16) to let fans know sheโs been feeling sick for weeks and fears she may have to cancel an upcoming concert. The illness, whatever it may be, has caused the 26-year-old a lot of pain and made it difficult for her to breathe during Friday's (November 15) concert in North Carolina.
โHi my loves so Iโm still very sick. Iโve been sick since the last London show. I donโt know how itโs possible but my throat and head are still in so much pain. I sound okay Iโm just in a lot of pain and itโs difficult to breathe during the show,โ the โ7 Ringsโ singer wrote in a lengthy message.
โI am seeing my doctor and trying my v best to get better for tomorrowโs show. the last thing i would ever want to do is cancel a show at this point with so few left. iโm truly cherishing every moment of thisโฆ i just really donโt know whatโs happening with my body right now and need to figure it out,โ she added. โPlease take this as a gentle heads upโฆ i donโt want anyone to feel blindsided tomorrow if god forbid i canโt make the show happen.โ
โIโm on all the meds. getting IV drips, doing everything i possibly can to pull through. mom and friends are taking good care of me. just a scary feeling. love you with all my heart and will keep you posted," she concluded.
The musician recently said she had been coughing and enduring a sinus infection, and that the latter was still affecting her health.
Taking to her Stories following her doctor's visit, the โBreak Up With Your Girlfriend, Iโm Boredโ star could be seen being comforted by friends and family before delivering this update: โStill canโt swallow or lift my head. love u. medicated af and hoping to wake up better. seeing doc again in am and will let you know about show. iโm so sorry again. itโs catching up to me i guess. love u the most.โ
Per her website, Grande is scheduled to perform her November 17 show in Kentucky.
