Target Pulls "Baby Daddy" Card From Stores After Shoppers Call It Insulting

Yikes!

Target is in hot water for selling a Father's Day greeting card with "Baby Daddy" printed on the front of the card.

Several shoppers were appalled by the card because it features an African American couple on the front of the card.

The card was first spotted on May 31st by a shopper named Takeisha Saunders of Rockwall, Texas, who took to her Facebook page to complain about the card, “You CANNOT be serious Target!!!! Really!!!?!!!!? This was the only Father’s Day card that featured a black couple!!!!!!” she wrote.

Target has addressed the public’s concern with the greeting card and issued a statement, "We were made aware of some concerns about this card last week and are working with our vendor to have it removed from Target stores.

Although there were words like “father” and “husband” used on the inside of the card, Saunders says that her husband would’ve been upset if he received the card because of what the phrase represents in black culture.

I want to know what you think? Do you view the “Baby’s Daddy” Father’s Day card as offensive?
