Over 1,000 students in grades 8-12 from Northwest Ohio and beyond came together this past Friday and Saturday for the sixth annual Converge, a teen conference that takes place at the Elida Fieldhouse that is designed to unite the Church under the banner of "One Body, on One Mission, serving One God."
Not only did students listen to speakers, national bands and attend many different workshops, they also participated in Operation: Love Lima. Students and volunteers distributed food boxes, prayed with families and individuals, and shared the love of Christ. The group distributed around 60,000 pounds of food in the area.
I had the pleasure of being a part of this event for the first time and got to witness what the word of Christ did for these students. These students welcomed with open arms speakers Chip Dean and Ben Stuart and also two bands, Sixteen Cities and The Digital Age.
They have announced that next year's Converge Conference will take place April 6-7, 2018. For more information on the Converge Movement click here.
