It's always said save the best for last....well last night on The Voice they definitely did that....they saved the best performance for last!! I can't even handle how amazing Emily's performance was last night! I can't wait to see how far Emily goes this season on The Voice....she has a voice and heart of gold and I couldn't be more proud of all the hard work she has put into her gift. You can just hear her tell the story of this song and she explains the importance of "Glitter in the Air" on her Facebook page....this is what she said:
And we’re headed to the Playoffs!!! ••••Right around the opportunity of auditioning for “The Voice” and in the midst of deciding whether or not to jump back into music after feeling stuck in an awful depression...”Glitter in the Air” was the first song my mom told me to go and sing to feel better. I could barely get out of bed, I literally felt like everything was over and my Mom was the one who said “Go sing! Just try it and see how you feel...” Well, I did just that and posted it to my IG, FB and knew it wasn’t about the likes, comments, or shares but how the music made me feel alive again. And from that moment, I decided that if I were to ever have the privilege of being on “The Voice,” the one song I would have to sing was that song. Thank you for watching tonight’s performance. Thank you for making me feel ALIVE. Thank you @AdamLevine for helping me see the beauty in just “being.” Thank you @KellyClarkson for singing to me in my room as a kid to “Breakaway” and inspiring me then AND now. Thank you @Pink for writing this beautiful song. Thank you to my MOM and DAD and family for not giving up on me and helping me through my depression. Thank you music. And lastly, thank YOU. You guys inspire me everyday to keep being ME. Don’t give up...your life is just WAITING to be lived!
You go girl!! You're going all the way!
