'Wonder Woman' Did Not Receive Any Golden Globes Nominations

Premiere Of Warner Bros. Pictures' "Wonder Woman" - Arrivals

If you were gearing up to celebrate big this morning because of Wonder Woman getting nominated for a Golden Globe, I have bad news for you...

The movie which was arguably the biggest of the year was entirely passed over in nominations, including no nominations for the star Gal Gadot or director Patty Jenkins.

Other movies and actors who were expected to be nominated but ultimately were not include The Big Sick, and Tiffany Haddish (the breakout star from Girls Trip).

It's not all bad news, though! Some projects were awarded surprise nominations and newcomers given a great honor - like Ansel Elgort for his work in Baby Driver, and Saoirse Ronan for Lady Bird.

Some nomination highlights:

Best Motion Picture, Drama

"Call Me by Your Name"

"Dunkirk"

"The Post"

"The Shape of Water"

"Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri"

Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy

"The Disaster Artist"

"Get Out"

"The Greatest Showman"

"I, Tonya"

"Lady Bird"

“The Star” — “The Star”

Best Motion Picture, Animated

Maybe we can see Wonder Woman come through with nominations for the sequel that is in the beginning stages now? Or so we can dream!
