Fans Think Ariana Grande's New Song Is About Mac Miller And Pete Davidson

There's no doubt all eyes have been on Ariana Grande lately with her new, and sudden, engagement to Pete Davidson.

It doesn't seem so much to be an issue of Ariana being engaged to Pete, but rather how quickly she and Pete seem to have gotten together after her relationship with long-time boyfriend Mac Miller ended in the spring.

It's also possible we're missing a lot of the story - and fans now think that her new song "The Light Is Coming" which was just released this week may shed light on her relationships with each men.

If you recall, she shared this note referencing her toxic relationship with Mac back in May:

And FYI, Pete and Ariana made their relationship "Instagram official" one week after she shared the above tweet.

So what does the new song have anything to do with all of this? Well, fans think Ariana gives some insight to her world and her relationships through the lyrics.

In it, Ariana sings of a relationship gone wrong:

I've been into you, sh*t that you've been through / Damn, I'm so confused, who cares about the rational / If it ain't your view / That's the bottom line / Know-it-all (know-it-all) / Give you a box of chances, every time you blow it all (blow it all) / As if it was shade, he would just throw it all (throw it all) / It's like you're trying not to glow it all (glow it all) / Know-it-all (know-it-all)

But then, in the chorus, she sings of a "light" that's coming by repeating one line:

The light is coming to give back everything the darkness stole /You wouldn't let anybody speak and instead

Fans are speculating that the bad relationship she refers to is Mac, which isn't too far off guess, and that the light that is coming is her light-hearted relationship with Pete.

It's a pretty solid theory, Arianators! And with Pete just confirming the two are engaged, here's to hoping our girl Ari is just very happy!
