If some of your favorite memories as a child involved Friday night when your parents would let you have a friend or two sleepover, which meant you got to run out to Blockbuster to pick out which movies to rent... then THIS is for you.
Airbnb and Blockbuster just announced something MAJOR: they're teaming up to offer a SLEEPOVER in the last Blockbuster store still in existence in the entire world.
So here's the deal:
The Bend, Oregon, store manager, Sandi Harding, listed the iconic establishment for an end of summer sleepover or Airbnb. There are three, one-night stays available to guests, to give them the opportunity to experience a '90s themed sleepover and relive that Friday night tradition we all remember.
The downfall here? If you want to be a part of one of these sleepovers, you need to be local to the area or have a friend who is. Because on August 17th at 1pm, local movie lovers can request one of the nights that the movie store will be an Airbnb - either Sept. 18, 19 or 20. Up to four people can stay per night.
The greatest part of the whole thing is it's entirely 90's themed. The sleeping arrangements are communal and complete with a pull-out couch bed, bean bag chairs and big pillows to cozy up with. AND you get to watch "new releases" from the '90s.
What more could you want?!
So if you're in Bend, Oregon or have friends from Bend, Oregon... get on this ASAP!
