Celebrities can be fascinating . . . entertaining . . . inspiring . . . and even FUN to follow on social media. But they can also be ANNOYING. Buzzfeed has a melodramatic list of the most "toxic, problematic, and out-of-touch" things celebs do . . . according to fans of the site. Here's are a few:
1. Telling poor people that they need to get off their butts and get to work. (Which is something that Kim Kardashian has said, for one example.)
2. When they reject the concept of nepotism. Sure, if you're TERRIBLE, you wouldn't make it, but having a famous parent gives you a MAJOR foot in the door. (They have a list of young celebrity offenders.)
3. When they don't even know the names of the people they work with . . . and even JOKE about it. Like they're too important to know the people who help them be successful.
4. Any time a celebrity does the "I'm just like you" thing. Like, "If I can stay fit, anyone can!" Yes, but you have a gym in your house, a personal trainer, a private chef, and live-in childcare. Just acknowledge the benefits you have from being rich.
5. Along the same lines, virtually ANY parenting advice from wealthy people.
6. Social media posts about their "much-needed" and "so relaxing" vacations . . . when they were just on vacation a month ago.
7. When celebrities use their fame to push pseudoscience and questionable medical advice. Actors, models, and singers are not doctors.
8. Sharing a "close friend's" modest GoFundMe, when the goal been could've easily achieved by the celeb themselves. It's tacky.
9. Posting "candid" photos of themselves to social media that are more like professional shots . . . with perfect makeup.
10. When they break the law, but get reduced sentences or fines just because they're famous and can hire fancy attorneys.
